Spicy Clam Kale Appetizer

The spicy clam kale appetizer tastes great with the savory minced clams and hearty kale. It is seasoned with garlic and red pepper flakes for an extra kick of heat. Ingredients:

  • 2 cans 6

  • 5 ounces each minced clams, drained

  • 4 cups kale, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat


Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, and saut until fragrant, about 1 minute


Add chopped kale to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 3-5 minutes


Stir in the drained minced clams and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until heated through


Season with salt and pepper to taste, and adjust the level of spiciness if desired
